I don't see the point of this nerf at all, obviously moving it to strength with scale is the way to go.
You might think a solution like this is too smart for Izzy, but apparently its not considering the fact that BB was changed with the same idea of nerfing it only for secondary warriors, the skill is exactly the same for primary hammer wars who wish to use it.

I'd move it to tactics because tactics is currently worthless.

Then I'd balance it like this for PvP
5e 20r
Shout. For 4...10 ten seconds you gain an additional strike of ade every time you strike a foe.

For PvE, I'd leave it as double ade but still move it to tactics.

Mainly the ones who abuse the skill are secondary warriors. Especially the Paragons. They have a skill that can let FGJ last almost it's full duration, about 30secs. That's a long time to gain more adrenaline. The nerf makes the skill not really useful at all. AN could take the time and just tweak the skill just a bit, maybe through the suggestions everyone posted here. My suggestion would be to just lower the recharge time to like 20 or 30 secs. If it stays this way, it's virtually useless. So, what's the point of making a skill that's not useful in any manner? We should probably let AN know of that idea about FGJ. Just tweak it down a little, but not so much it's virtually useless.

The problem with moving it to tactics is that does not remove the secondary usage of it, only limits (gotta spread your attributes more to use it), while with Strength, it is a warrior only skill basically.

i think teh point was to make it jus as useful as skills like
you will die
to the limit
i meant to do that
make your time
etc

the prob is that teh old fgj had no condition or downside
it was pretty much a set-it and forget-it skill
that required no thought to use

currently, teh most effective way to gain adren faster is to simply use an ias
stacking that bonus wit fgj is jus hax
(similar to teh concept of a sin ias stacked wit dualstrikes)


i think fgj mechanics should be changed completely
to not work based on +adren gain per hit

and if u want +adren gain per hit
rely on ur dark fury nec

Tactics would still make it useless for pvp,tacs change dosent fix the problem.

If you want to split into 3 attribs,Conjure would be prefered over FGJ in basically all cases.

Soo..str is a much better option(this also would make it useless for secondaries).

Devs thought the PvP/PvE would stop the QQing when skills get nerfed. Guess they were wrong, as always.

Then maybe we should get a buff for those totally crap skills you mentioned, they really, really dont worth a skill slot. They are almost as bad as FGJ atm.
IAS=FGJ isnt a hax, I just dont get it what you are talking about.. A scythe warrior is imba as well then, because it can hit 3 targets and use an IAS at the same time!.. lol

And yea, dark fury is really used in pvp.

i like the idea of moving it to strenth, seems more logical

ruins the bb spike, and still leaves it avaliable to warriors
but moving it to tatics, which out of pve, is useless

Here's the thing, warriors in PvP have just lost an important ade-management skill. Was it exploited by other classes like paragons and BBsins? Yes it was, but at the least Anet could have at least tried to rework it so warriors could make use of it without it being an imba skill in other builds. Warriors also lost a shout they could keep up for a while to use the soldier's line of skills, not that they were good mind you but this just further weakened an already pathetic line of skills.

It's like the smiter's boon nerf. Instead of changing it so it worked but was still usable, Anet just made it unusuable in pvp. I think if they are going to do that, they should make skills like FGJ and SB pve only skills and add a new pvp/pve skill in those skills places.

What if the skill was reverted back to what it was before, only it ends when the user attacks with a non-warrior skill? Thoughts?

^ Wouldn't solve much, Backbreaker sins are what that nerf targeted, and they don't use dagger skills until after Backbreaker.

Oh. Nvm. Switching it to the strength attribute seems more feasible, then. It is also not too much to do, in my understanding. So just revert it back to it's previous effect and take it to strength, and make it so 4- strength results in the skill fail to activate. Can we write a petition to AN about this?
